Foi lançado há cerca de uma hora o update comorativo de Halloween, que trouxe alterações ao jogo que vão além das tradicionais alterações comemorativas. Neste update, além de galinhas disfarçadas de fantasmas, temos ainda alterações significativas ao mapa cobblestone.
Depois de em Abril deste ano o Dust2 ter voltado à map-pool ativa, substituindo o cbble, algo que normalmente a Valve faz não apenas para manter a diversidade do jogo mas, essencialmente, acontecem quando um mapa foi remodelado e o outro já se encontra há bastante tempo sem alterações. Assim, cerca de 6 meses depois, a Valve apresenta hoje as alterações feitas ao cobblestone. Embora o mapa esteja num modo "halloween", todas as alterações aqui referidas deverão manter-se depois desta época.

– In Casual, Demolition, and Flying Scoutsman game modes, players now haunt the world as ghosts when they die until the end of the round. Spoooooky!
– Ghosts can:
— Only be seen by other ghosts and observers.
— Apply Graffiti in the world.
— Affect interact-able props (soccer balls, glass, potted plants, etc).
— Turn chickens into zombie chickens.
— Possess Bots by using them.
